WPC Online Application For Digital Radio

Nowadays, Digital Radios have taken over as a better version of radios. Unlike the AM or FM radios that use Analog signals, a digital radio uses digital signals to transmit information. This renders better sound quality and clearer reception. The cherry on the cake is the on screen information and the ability to pause and rewind. The importers and manufacturers of digital radios in India are obligated to hold a WPC License.

What is WPC?

WPC stands for Wireless Planning and Coordination. It is the National Radio Regulatory Authority which is in charge of licencing, managing the frequency spectrum, and catering to all requirements of wireless device users.

To address the needs of users of wireless technology, WPC grants licences for IT and electronic equipment. To obtain a WPC licence, all manufacturers, importers, suppliers, and merchants must submit an online application. Only wireless and electronic products that have received WPC approval, operate on unlicensed frequency bands, and adhere to rules governing human safety are permitted for sale in our nation.

Wireless local area network access technology (WiFi), digital radios, radio frequency identification (RFID), and other items are covered by WPC.
